POISON IVY #1 - Review and first impressions

Pamela Isley has been a lot of things in her life. A living god, a super-villain, an activist, a scientist, and dead. In a new body that she didn’t ask for and with a renewed sense of purpose, Ivy leaves Gotham and sets out to complete her greatest work-a gift to the world that will heal the damage dealt to it…by ending humanity.

Don't let the beautiful interior art by Marcio Takara or the cover art fool you. This is almost a horror comic. Ivy has been through a lot recently in the DCU and now she is on a mission... to kill everyone!
Haunting visuals, violence, body horror and creepy vibes emanate from the pages.

I personally believe Ivy has been long overdue for a series where she can shine and judging by this first issue, not only that, but she will be making some big changes in the world!

Without giving too much away, here is a couple of random panels from the comic!

I have high hopes for Ivy's new stand alone story, her first in many years. I think fans (and myself) have wanted Harley to get back to her villainous roots and this series looks set to deliver on that. Ivy on a murderous rampage roadtrip sounds like a fun time for us readers!
